Functional quality monitoring

The objectives for the building construction work are defined as part of the requirements planning phase. Integrated quality monitoring functions as an individual compass that tracks these objectives at every point of the building project and ensures that projects are realised on time and on budget.

Clearly defined as-planned documentation is a key factor in delivering a sustainable building with a distinctive identity and ensuring its successful operation. Compliance with this as-planned documentation is ensured through continuous alignment with defined parameters.

To maximise certainty for the client, we employ a combination of customised building specifications and integrated quality monitoring. We work with the client in advance to establish exactly what is required, and at the same time a fully integrated quality monitoring system ensures that the jointly defined quality specifications for the built asset itself and the associated services are strictly complied with in practice during planning and construction.

The planning and construction solutions are regularly compared and aligned, for instance at the end of the preliminary draft or final draft stage, using checklists with a clear red/amber/green visual coding system, and the results are summarised in clear, concise reports. Variant analysis is an effective procedure that allows the pros and cons of different materials and building technologies to be weighed and compared across the lifecycle of the built asset, serving as a useful decision-making tool for the client.

Through ongoing cost control and optimisation measures we ensure delivery of the pre-defined quality and cost specifications during planning and implementation.
